Allyson Felix
Allyson Melissa Felix was birthed in Los Angeles, California on November 18th 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix is a minister who was ordained by Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a elementary school teacher at Balboa Magnet. Felix's ability to compete in athletics was evident from the moment she started attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. She finished second in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships within just 10 weeks after the first time she tried out. Felix finished her high school education and was signed to an agreement with Adidas. In 2004 she enrolled in the University of Southern California, where her major was elementary education. The first Olympic medal was won at the 2004 Summer Olympics held at Athens Greece. Felix set a world junior record for sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. She was the youngest participant in the 200-meter race in the world championships in Helsinki in the year 2005. She defended her title the following year, beating her long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix participated in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and has consistently ranked among the top three athletes at her particular events.
